Our journey to refresh the CHEMEX logo began with a deep dive into our origins. We returned to the 1930s, to an eccentric chemist driven by the dream of brewing the perfect cup of coffee. His vision was simple yet profound: to enable anyone, regardless of their brewing expertise, to enjoy delicous coffee with ease and elegance. This foundational principle continues to guide us. From the very beginning, a spirit of playfulness and exciting curiosity has propelled both our design and aesthetic. It's this unique blend of serious craftsmanship and whimsical innovation that has always set CHEMEX apart.
While the market has seen trends come and go, sometimes sacrificing quality and craftsmanship for convenience, CHEMEX has remained steadfast. Our foundation is built on integrity, fortitude, and an enduring passion for exceptional design and the art of the perfect extraction.
Our new logo beautifully captures this spirit. It's bold, timeless, and subtly retro, with soft curves mirroring our iconic carafe. The black and blue palette, directly inspired by our mid-century origins, connects us to our rich past. Beyond the logo, we designed the packaging to allow the beauty of our products to stand for themselves. We added a touch of our signature playfulness and homage to our founder with an original quote by him, inviting you to discover and explore a piece of CHEMEX history. More than just a mark, this logo and our refreshed presentation are symbols of everything CHEMEX has always stood for: community, quality, timeless aesthetics, and an unwavering love for the perfect brew.
